Makers always want to know where other makers work and what they work with, and I am no exception! I’ve created this page to give you a better idea of all of what happens over here. I will update this page as my equipment changes, but for now, these are the items I regularly use:
- My primary machine is this Bernina Artista 630. I purchased her two years ago (used) and am still learning how capable she is! I haven’t found anything she can’t sew, and I have become an official Bernina convert!
- I also have this vintage Bernina serger (Bernette 234). This girl was a recent garage sale find that has become a steady member of my workroom. She is sturdy but compact and makes a beautiful 4-thread overlock stitch.
- This coverstitch machine was also a recent second-hand purchase, and I’m thrilled to have her! I have recently started sewing more knits, so being able to finish the seam edges and hems professionally is terrific.
- And of course, I also have a vintage lovely to round out my lineup. This beauty is the Viking 6460 – all metal, pretty red paint and extremely capable. To be honest, I can’t go past a yard sale or antique store sewing machine and not consider taking it home- but for now, this is my only vintage machine.
